Dr. Qing Rao joined BMW Group in 2017 as a machine learning specialist and contributed to different ML projects at BMW autonomous driving campus. From mid-2020 on, he is responsible for cooperation management for automated driving technology.
Qing received his bachelor's degree in 2010 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and his master's degree with the primary focus on computer vision and robotics in 2012 from the Technical University of Munich. In 2019, he received the Ph.D. degree from TU Munich with the dissertation entitled "Merging the Virtual and Real in a Car: In-Vehicle Augmented Reality". His research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, 3D reconstruction, and augmented/virtual reality.
