Dr. Jürgen Bohn received his Master's degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, in 2000 and his PhD in Pervasive Computing & IoT from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2006.
From July 2016 to September 2020, Dr. Bohn led the Data Architecture & Engineering group in Corp. IT & Digitalization at Schaeffler in Herzogenaurach and Nuremberg, Germany. During this time, he shaped a high-performing team of data experts, established a modern unified data architecture, supported digital business initiatives with data modeling and engineering services, and delivered the global Schaeffler Big Data & Analytics platform with the Schaeffler Data Lake on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Since October 2020, Dr. Bohn has been head of the Innovation Cluster Artificial Intelligence in Corporate R&D at Schaeffler. He works closely with the R&D business units worldwide to further develop Schaeffler products and digital services for automotive and industrial customers using AI and machine learning methods. The spectrum of AI applications includes mechatronic systems, IoT platform services, and digital components for Mobility 4.0 and Industry 4.0 business solutions in the Cloud.
