As e-mobility accelerates across Europe, copper remains a strategic material for highly efficient motors, batteries, and high-voltage systems. This session shows the role of copper in e-motors with a focus on the EU’s copper supply, mainly domestic and diversified. It also explains the expected demand and the new mining efforts ongoing at global level. Regarding carbon neutrality, it presents the ICA Guidelines on Carbon Content. In order to deal with the growing demand of copper, it explains the importance of recyclability rather than recycled content.
You will get to understand:

Pop in Your Job:
As a father of two young adults, to contribute to leave a better world for those around me and the new generations is what drives me. On this regard, I’m truly convinced that electromobility is a better and more sustainable technology to realize the freedom of movement for more people and fulfil transport requirements of companies across the globe.
As a copper expert, I enjoy to explain others and bring into reality the role of copper and all its possibilities to fulfil people and companies needs.
